Hi Guys, I came on a previsit and joined and then returned back to my Home Town but while signing the contract i saw that if you leave the company withing 2 year you have to pay entire relocation cost back.

1. My initial offer letter didnt have these clause mentioned.
2. Is Pre-Visit considered as a part of relocation, I came because they denied virtual onboarding .

Now my question i didnt take relocation package i was forced to come for onboarding.

One of my MD’s asked me to update a workbook with new deal info on a sheet they created in September. I did it with the new cap structure they gave, and got a paragraph back telling me it was wrong, and to use a different cap structure. Sent it back, same exact response with a third cap structure. I put these in and am sent a “your book is a mess,” when all of the “errors” they pointed out were errors from the original sheet from them and I got blamed. I just graduated, how do I deal with this?

I really like finance, but I want to be a sole proprietor. Any ideas of what I can do besides making my own hedge book?

This is a question which I'm curious about people's thoughts. Mostly reflecting on the past since I'm way too far in audit to make a career change. Did I make a mistake by not trying for law school? I took the LSAT when I was a first year associate and got a 168. At this point, the score expired and would need to retake. I know law is riskier than audit. But a part of me wonders if I'd have been better off (except more student loans) if I went to law school instead of sticking with audit?

Hi Guys, I am relocating to Koramangala next month. My office is near St. John's Medical College (Nexus mall). Can you guys help me with the followings:
1. Expected rent for an 1 bhk room.
2. Localities which are better considering both commute time and rent.
3. Expected security deposit.
4. Would it be a better idea to rent a 2bhk and find a roommate as well?

Thanks in advance!

I know I took out the loans and I should repay them and I’m normally fiscally conservative and against giving out free money. But I am hoping student loans get completely cancelled. It would greatly boost the economy if people do not have them hanging over their heads. However, forgiving what is currently there won’t help long term if the predatory practices around student loans aren’t fixed along with soaring tuition prices and salaries for administrators.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

How much to include in your resume?? So I’m 44 y/o and have been actively working with no “gaps” since I was 18. My resume is packed but I feel it may be too much and it feels dated. I want to freshen it up as I’m considering a change. Should I go back 10yrs and leave it at that? Should I simplify the resume? It’s a fine line between easier to read and watered down. Thanks your input!!

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.

We just added 2 week paid parental leave as a benefit for this year, however I just started with the company and there was no process put in place. How do you all have yours set up? Is there a time off policy that employees use so that hours are allocated under that policy? Do they work directly with your leave management provider? Any information would be much appreciated. I’m looking for a mentor in the tech / start up industry at the moment. I’ve been in HR for around 2-3 years and currently working in fintech for 8 months. I love the tech industry and I love how fast paced everything is. I started my career working alongside a manager that wasn’t always present and now working in HR alone. I’ve never really known if what I’m doing is right,I’d really appreciate being able to lean on and be mentored by someone who is a HR leader in the same kind of environment.
