Get as many licenses and designations your company is willing to pay for. Start with the SIE, 7 & 66. They make you more marketable.
I have my Series 7, 63, and 79 mainly out of necessity but the 7 is pretty applicable to many financial positions.
But also interested to hear from anyone regarding the CFA.
I'm an executive assistant now. Have my SIE and studying for my 7. Hoping to grow my role after that. My firm increases your salary when you pass as well.
Hoping to help out sales team and trading team with buybacks. It is a big test but I studied hospitality and am learning a lot slowly. I suggest using STC as your training course. Your firm will have to sponsor you for the 7.
I have the Certified Internal Auditor CIA and the CAMS - AML certification. Both have helped me and not very difficult
Some colleagues I know have pursued their CFA license which is incredbily difficult but highly reputable. Also seems like everyone's gotten their CPA license so very common one in my field. I'm currently aiming to get my CDFM because Im in the public sector
PMP is applicable across a lot of industries.
What about the CRCM? Boss is pushing me to get it, but I don’t see the value…?
