I can honestly say I am rethinking this firm.

Am I being a complete idiot? Current employer decided to move to another state more in line with their industry. We can either move with them, find a job elsewhere, or commit to stay until our position is transferred and be awarded a severance package (16 weeks pay). I’ve been getting reached out to by recruiters and almost passed out when I saw the salaries. I’m severely underpaid… like by 50% or more. So why am I struggling to leave??? Why do I care that I won’t be committing??

How do you deal with burnout? I’m just not feeling it anymore. I keep thinking time off will help but I’m not so sure because it’s winter and not as nice outside up north. I’ve been working for 16+ years with the longest break between jobs at 7 weeks. Never take more than a week off at a time. Any tips? Should I say anything to the partners I assist? Should I say anything to my supervisor?
