Lower in terms of compensation?

like

Yes Corporate VP is below VP at NYL. There are two sub levels of Corporate VP that can range from Manager to Senior Manager/pre-Partner level in consulting- big range

NYL has different structure than banks.

Corporate VP = SVP and Director title in the traditional banks
VP = MD in the bank

Should I specialize in Blockchain or AI? I’m a freshman in a CS degree and I can’t decide. My main argument to choose blockchain is the easy entry with little experience and high salary, I plan on growing my skills during the bear market and get a job once the market recovers. Regarding AI, I find this field fascinating but I feel like it requires a lot of experience, degrees and diplomas.

I have a preliminary credential in social sciences with supplementals in bio and math, it expires in July and I have already had the allowed 1 extension. Teaching is my second career (I am a retired pediatric nurse) and barring an open position at a school where I am a preferred sub there doesn’t appear to be much hope. I am currently enrolled in a masters in history program and looking to jump to museum work or perhaps teaching at a local college. Any advice would be appreciated!

Junior Dev presents an issue they’re having. I hint to the fact that it may be framework related (this is a very simple fix). The questions they are asking seem out of context, so I ask if they have done any framework related research generally, as our entire application is built on top of this. They answered no, they have been here for months, and it’s not like this wasn’t in the job description. Am I missing something here? Trying to be helpful but stuff like this is frustrating.

I don’t know yet what to do exactly, but I know I just don’t want to be only writing code every day.
Tbh, I am scared. But I have set myself one year to learn something new.
I also want to go for a job that pays more (55k€ currently). I live in Paris, France, and software developers are not well paid.
Any suggestion for a career transition?

What is the best way to begin a transition from a help desk job to an actual career path in IT? I definitely feel over qualified and under paid in the position I am in now, and looking for the next step towards an IT career. Any advice would not fall on deaf ears. TIA
