I joined Infosys with a CTC of 24lpa (15% variable)
Today i received my first month salary and it is only 1.06 lakh.
I am feeling low only as in my previous organisation my CTC was 13.5 lpa and i used to receive 97k including tax.

Got an offer to join MBB. I have an advanced degree from a prestigious program. It's been 6 years since my undergrad and no one asked about my GPA, which is low. 4 years of work exp - most at a big4.

Should I be worried about background check? I never lied just didn't volunteer my undergrad GPA as I've been out of school for a while. I have a good reason for the low GPA if asked.

A lot of companies have a lot of PhD level of subject level experts, what do consulting firms provide that the corporations don’t provide internally? I remember I was surprised talking to a friend who worked for pwc consulting consulting on a chemical project of a company, since he def is not a chemist by any means.
