I just finished my first full year at my firm and got close to hitting my billable requirement but fell a little short. Had a death in the family and my mom has been sick, which was distracting. Covid stopped travel billing for court/depo. Firm said I will not get a bonus OR a raise next year if I don’t hit hours. I understand the bonus part, but shouldn’t raises be based on tenure/seniority? I still do great work for the firm and clients are happy. Just curious what other firms do for raises.

I have some programming experience but excel mostly in mechanical and product design as well as 3D CAD. Has anyone had issues with hiring department? I applied to a IT position, passed the interview and they gave me a start date and salary. I was very happy and can’t wait to start but then… my recruiter told me that we have to delay the start date because my badge has not been created yet. Then it has been 4 weeks later and they say they are very sorry for the wait and they increased my pay up significantly to help compensate for the lost days. But idk what to do.. should I stay or look elsewhere

If you were a candidate that was reached out to by an internal recruiter and went through 5 interviews spanning more than one month would you be put off by the fact that the company couldn’t even have bothered to get back to you that they went another direction? What a poor experience as a candidate I had with them. Would they want to know or even care? Like at least thank someone for all their time and be courteous.
