The offer: PRODUCT MANAGER Base Pay $80K 5 days PTO 50% health expenses covered

I think you can get more base pay and would be interested to know if you got RSUs. Also would be interested to know your YOE. That's truly entry level and would be a very small company I'd assume.

Hello, I am 36 and have over 250k in savings. I started saving late (at 32) as I didn’t make much and lived in NYC. I used to be on a visa and had little to say on my salary negotiations. Upon getting my green card, my salary doubled when I changed jobs and I started saving extensively. Today I make around 180k a year and am able to save $4.5k a month and 7% towards 401k. I have no kids and I am looking to maximize savings. Any advice? Thanks!

Any finance wizards? Paying for grad school - Should I, Roll 401k into IRA and then take education distribution (full pay with this). This method incurs income tax but no penalty. Or Pay with cash and then the rest with 401k/IRA rollover and educ distribution Or Max out loans? I was thinking of loans given the interest rate is like 4-5% and you can always pay them off with the other methods in the future if you want... and you may not always have the opportunity to take on debt.

Currently make 75k in a low cost of living area as a government employee. Big 4 tax background with 5 years experience. Currently working in regulation. I have an opportunity to move back into tax but the catch is it’s in San Francisco. Offer is 130k with a target 10% bonus and 5% pension contribution. Based on my pay and what my spouse could make in SF the pay differential would be a slight decrease based on COL. I’m not seeing a bright future in my government career due to continual budget...

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

Deloitte: I see there is an HR policy that allows you to go 60-80% whenever you want to/in any role so long as there is a business case. Does this ever happen in consulting?
