Hello, All! I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the Women's Conference among other sources. I'd love to hear a fresh perspective on business, trends, tech, marketing, equality in the workforce, etc. I'd love to learn something new. I'm at the VP level and have started a couple of companies, so nothing too junior, but open to many topics. Please share any speakers, books, webinars, or events that you may come across.
I swear by Marcus Sheridan's They Ask, You Answer. It's our holy grail on my team.
Thank you!!

Marketing Myopia by Teddy Levitt! It’s the most important (and shortest) marketing book I’ve ever read. The lessons shape my perspective on everything.
A close second is Ogilvy’s confessions of an advertising man - especially the how to be a good client chapter.
And yes I find it shameful that my top two are extremely cancel-worthy white dudes.
As far as event-specific learning, you won’t find that in a book. Focus on benchmarking. Attend as many relevant industry and competitive events as you can. Learn from their mistakes and successes. Ask questions to the people making things happen on the front lines when you’re there, not the execs :).
To balance the scales and take things beyond marketing, “Ask For More” by Alex Carter is the most important book you’ll ever read in negotiation and “Plantation Theory” by John Graham is essential for anyone who aims to be an inclusive leader.
