Hi everyone! Curious to find out more about this: Would you be more likely to apply for a job if the hiring process was clear from the beginning? For example if it was stated in the job description? And why?

I had a question regarding Career transition from QA to Data Scientist role. Should my resume show QA experience and 2-3 personal projects made on Data Science or shall I modify QA experience as an already Data scientist and should follow fake it till I make it approach?

My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. I really enjoy being a Generalist but I don’t know if I want to be an HR Manager. Any suggestions on other areas of HR I should consider?

My daughter joined a large company and was told she could add her domestic partner onto her benefits. Now they are saying she has to file affidavit for common law marriage. Her state does not recognize common law marriages. Can they offer the benefit to only those that live in a state that recognizes common law marriages? Seems discriminatory to me.

Hello, we are looking at ways to help employees who are required to go onsite, with mileage/transit benefits. SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. I’m starting to feel bitter that I took a pay cut to transition to HR from agency recruiting so I put myself open to recruiters on LinkedIn and got a Sr Recruiter contract offer with a company that I’m familiar with for $38/hour. I work for a CPA firm, 45-50 employees, and we're looking at expanding our benefits package. Right now, we only offer 2 or 3 weeks vacation, 1 week paid sick time, healthcare, 401(k) with profit sharing, and Life/Long-term disability coverage. No dental, no parental leave, no ST disability, no EAP etc.

Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?
