Hi everyone! Curious to find out more about this: Would you be more likely to apply for a job if the hiring process was clear from the beginning? For example if it was stated in the job description? And why?

Yes! So I know what to expect, especially when I'm actively looking while I have a full time job.

likesmart

Yes, I would love that because then I can decide if this job is something I am truly interested in. I won’t be surprised when they tell me they require 3-4 interviews (or more).

Yes I would personally be more likely to apply, and I think it would probably attract more women into the process, as well. All people, but women especially, are presumably juggling their current full time role plus family obligations. Understanding the process and having clear expectations will relieve some stress from the process.

It also indicates that the company likely values transparency, which we hear time and time again is something that employees want from their employers.

Yes. I want a clear understanding of what the job is and how much it pays. I hate having my time wasted.

My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

No dental, no parental leave, no ST disability, no EAP etc.

Could anyone else in this industry, or in another professional services industry, weigh in on what benefits you offer and which ones are most popular?
