Mosquito bits. Give it a Google and try them out.
This was the only thing that cured ours. Quick fix, too!
A lot of plant influencers advocate for bottom watering; however it can be tricky to know exactly when to take it out. I’ve had a plant or two get root rot from it and die. Also, this will not work for plants with really shallow roots. Have you tried a Venus flytrap?
There’s also Neem oil that I’ve used for more serious infestations such as spider mites or aphids. It smells terrible but once it airs out that could also work. I do try to use it as a last resort though.
I had the same problem! Nothing worked until I tried nematodes - they attack the gnat larvae in soil. Combining nematodes with sticky traps did the trick.
Also, do isolate the problematic plant from others - otherwise gnats can easily find a new home to lay eggs!
