Ugh 🙄 I wouldn’t share this info on a healthcare site like this. If your brother is using drugs he need not work in healthcare ……enough said🥴
I’m not in healthcare so I have no idea, if he came over to banking then no they don’t test for it.
“Asking for a friend” lol, in all seriousness, hospitals usually have a drug free policy so they might not hire your “brother”. Advise to stop smoking and take a home drug test prior to the official drug test to make sure he is negative.
That’s what I told him, he’s switching from a a job that doesn’t care to this since the pay is about the same but the benefits are better considering he doesn’t have any now.
No, I think it violates the new labor laws for NYC. Under sectin 201-D it is prohibited to discriminate against an employee for their use of cannabis outside the workplace.
This is what I mean by multiple answers, my roommate works in healthcare but doesn’t smoke anyway, he said if anything federal comes through (Medicaid, Medicare, DACA programs) then it’s required.
Is it really that important to him to not be able to smoke pot for a while until he gets hired? Serious question not trying to be rude
No they shoud not be testing for marijuana.
