Absolutely worth it if they're good and you are diligent. I had a coach in powerlifting for a year and he led me to a 2-state championship victory.
Not sure if they will offer 1x/ week but that might be an easier starting point! My old trainer would train me once a week then I used an app he designed to work out 2-3x/ week. I lost 15 lbs in 3 months
1000% worth it.
Thank you all for all the valuable insights. Appreciate it. Have a great weekend!
I've had trainer for 4 months now and it has been worth it as far as motivating me to go work out. It's expensive, so you bet I'm not missing any sessions 😂
If you’re new to weight lifting and don’t wanna do the research yourself then having a trainer at least for a bit it worth it! They can teach you a lot!! Then you can go on your own once you feel ready and save some $$!
It depends on the trainer. I bought a package from my gym for a certain amount of personal training sessions and didn’t feel it was worthwhile. The first trainer was trying to be sneaky and doing “personal” training for several people at once. He’d jump from person to person across the gym, leaving me to essentially work out on my own just pay extra for it. The other one was fine but I felt like we constantly did the same workout.
I’ve personally found more value in group fitness classes. I get variety, they’re most cost effective and someone is still there to push me / correct my form when needed.
