I’ve worked for about 8 years between 4 companies in a variety of roles. I make almost 250k a year all in. Yet I have rarely worked 40 hours a week and still crushing it review time. I see all the complaints about working a lot. Thought I was just getting lucky with the gigs and bosses but maybe i am just efficient at my work? Do you all struggle to complete your job in 40-50 hours of actual work or is it a shit boss and company that make work life hell ?

My notice period got over a month ago.
I resigned from the service based company i was working in because at the time I had an offer. They later mentioned that the offer is contingent on the fact that I get an early release from the 90 days NP, which didn't happen and they ghosted me.
I feel utterly helpless. I have been applying and getting shortlisted almost everywhere but nothing has panned out.
