Hi everyone
I am a new member and have been working in Payroll/HR a very long time. I have worked in the field,as a junior payroll coordinator, assistant up to Payroll Manager. Had to always prove myself to earn a incentive bonus. I always felt that a man had it easier, because of the old saying “ man had to provide for the family “ . In my case it was me. Is it only me sensing or also anyone else?

The bias between sexes can existe but they can also existe as simple as being liked. Being strong in your role would help whether male or female. Also males and females would have to do something to get that bonus. After bonus time, I’d recommend setting clear for expectations for that year, with your direct report to get the best bonus.

Hi all,
Need an advice. I am confused between doing masters or learn tech stack and increase experience and salary.
*My primary goal is to earn more.*
If masters I have to do in US or UK, so GRE, GMAT.
If for learning and tech experience I can learn tech stacks.
But I am confused between this.
Could you please tell or suggest what would be a better choice? Is doing masters in US or UK is a better ROI or be in India and gain exp and earn more by switching?
Currently I am a Java developer.

My company posted a job opening for a management position for my department and I read the job description… it is literally, line by line, a description of what I do now. Now I find myself in a position where I need to leave B due to personal issues. Thinking of going to DCso I can just waive in.

It's been less than a year since I've joined; is it too soon to ask this?

Anyone here work at Big D in either the M&A FDD group or the ARA group? I’m a year in having spent 6 months each in my firm’s FDD and accounting advisory groups. I’ve been approached by a Deloitte recruiter for either of those two groups and I’m definitely interested if it means at least a 10-15% pay bump. My main question is about the work life balance. For AAS it was pretty great, didn’t work late much and when I did it was never past 8. FDD was a bit more chaotic.

Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”. I’m fairly liberal politically so for me to be saying this I think may say something for the current climate. I should be able to hold and express my own opinions without being quashed because I’m not “woke” enough.
