How does a resume get noticed? For the past year, I have been applying and applying and yes, you guessed it- applying for jobs and I got zero. I had a few great last round interviews, however recruiters found me on linkedIn. My resume has been looked over by three different career coaches, i have extensive experience/ bilingual and recently got creative seeking recruiters out on LinkedIn. What to expect going in to IB interview with not markets knowledge ... 3 year analyst experience in diff field. Advice ?

If anyone is thinking of leaving interview prep until you've got time - don't. All it takes is a few hours a week to keep yourself new offer ready. I didn't invest that time, and ashamed to say, the timeboxed job hunt is now pretty scary. Offshore recruiter mail has become cause for highs, and the anxiety about making rent in a few months is real. Can't imagine if I had a family relying on me... Hope this little anecdote tips the scale for anyone on the edge of prepping. Don't make my mistake.

Anyone have experience interviewing for corporate finance positions at a bank? Have a 1st round interview and wondering if they do cases or pull up excel models and have you break it down, etc.

I’ve been prepping hard for M&A technicals (reading R&P, biws400) for a move to an MM IB firm but got hit up to interview for a T2 consulting firm (LEK, EYP, OY).

My goal is to break into PE potentially but I’m not sure if it’s worth putting in effort for T2 consulting interviews because I believe exits from T2 are more limited compared to an MM IB like JEF. My question really boils down to how do exits from a T2 compare to that of a top MMIB? Appreciate any and all insights!

Has your firm gone woke? My leadership is consumed by virtue signaling and social justice to the point where nothing else (even our business) seems to matter. I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
