Best life lesson I learned from Deloitte: don’t ever, EVER sign a contract that demands you return the sign on bonus if you leave within a year. I thought to myself, “I would never leave a company within a year”, but I grossly underestimated how much I could hate a job.


Is it reasonable to ask a west coast-based member of the team to work east coast hours / join a standing meeting with the client at 8AM ET? The client is in CT but likes to get an early start to the day.


My SM told me that I have to be conscious of racial diversity when selecting a candidate for my project team. It seemed like they were very very careful with their language. Does this mean I have to pick a URM? My project is already majority URM, so wouldn’t adding another URM make it less racially diverse?

Joining BCG is one of my biggest regrets in life. There were other options and with the benefit of hindsight I chose the wrong option. It is very political and poorly managed and the apprenticeship


Friend got laid off from Collaborative Solutions today. She obtained Workday certifications while employed there. They are requesting her to pay back the cost (6K) of the certifications. Advice?
