I have been at ZS for nearly 5 months yet I have not done any projects. I have been staffed to a project but it has not started and will not start in 2-3 weeks.

How long do you think one should wait before thinking about looking for new opportunities elsewhere

I’ve been a project manager (delivery focused) for 8 years now and have worked across multiple companies / teams as I am a contractor. Lately I’ve been feeling really bored in my roles and not challenged enough. I’ve previously loved what I do but now I feel indifferent towards my role. I’m worried if I look for more senior PM roles I will feel the same. What other options could I explore and has anyone else had a similar experience?

I just finished my MBA and I am an electrical engineer of 10years experience. I received a job offer as a senior engineer from a an engineering company. I previously discussed project manager role with this company but they extend me a senior engineer position.
I would like to get advice on what to do, how to proceed, and have an idea of salary that i should negociate if i decide to go with the company?

I work remotely for a company out in Georgia and I plan on quitting and going full time as an entrepreneur in 8 months because I’ve built up a great list clients and consistent daily work. The current company that I work for is also great potential client, how can I transition or work out a deal with then to take on freelance or outsource work to me? BTW I’m the only one who holds this position within the company.

Hi guys, I joined as a fresher in july and still I didnt get any project. I am shadowing a senior on a project. Last month I had mailed my manager asking for project ,he said he will get back to me with a suitable opportunity. I am still waiting and on non billable code but I can't wait anymore. How do I politely follow up with my manager again asking him to allign me on some project? or should I directly ask him if there are projects or not. (Company -Deloitte)

Do any of the companies out there (Salesforce implementation) maintain a schedule similar to pre-pandemic where Fridays are generally pretty light/internal stuff? Ever since all went full remote, Friday is just another 12-14 hr day and I'm super-burned out and have little time to do hands-on stuff or keep up with career development tasks. I don't mind the Mon-Thur grind of 12-14 hr days even without the travel down time, but 40+ hrs of client meetings before I do anything else is a soul suck.

I have worked with Forbes top companies, for-profits, non-profits, & startups. I consider myself a solver of complex & complicated problems requiring mixed method research & novel solutions. This has led to issues in self-referencing title. I’ve been project manager, data engineer, developer, modeler, analysts, principle DB developer, etc. Most of my w2 work has been from offers of 1099 clients so I am usually asked to define my own title. Any T-shaped data people who run into this?
