Hi everyone. I have had several pregnancy losses. After lots of testing I now know why I keep having miscarriages, and I sadly can't ever carry to term. I still have 6 embryos frozen at a fertility clinic and have decided to work with a surrogate to have a child. The trouble is, family building via surrogacy is rarely covered in benefits packages. Do you know of any companies that offer surrogacy coverage? I've heard that Starbucks does. Any others? I am in Canada if that makes a difference.

Tesla/deloitte/ey all cover. Maybe not 100 percent but atleast 20 to 25k. Apologies. My answer was tailored to US not Canada. I just noticed Canada

Not everything on media is always true I think. A lot of those experiences are also had by people at big four. Source : worked at both big four and tesla. Infact tesla is less stressful(plus women are weirdly less in the automotive and tech space even now). I guess most experiences at any firm are very team/manager dependent (including the likes of google) ... Anyway my point was they have very good benefits. Their insurance in US as well as Kindbody that covers every thing for fertility treatments plus the surrogacy component . If you feel too strongly try other tech companies. Most have quite strong benefits. Some may even have a higher surrogacy benefit. I d recommend definitely looking at google/Netflix/docusign. Netflix i remember was giving 1 year maternity. Judging by that I d say their surrogacy benefits maybe top notch.

Really sorry to hear. What tests do you have to do to find that out?

Thanks ❤ I've done recurrent pregnancy loss testing (this is a set battery of tests), genetic testing, autoimmune infertility testing (this is about 17-20 tests depending on whether anything has already been ruled out for you), an NK/cytokine/TNF-a assay, an endometrial receptivity assay and an endometritus biopsy test.

Sorry to hear this🙁 Do you mind sharing how far along you were when you miscarried? I might have to look into the tests you've done to confirm if what you've experienced is similar to me

Sorry to hear about your losses. It's so painful. Has that protocol helped?

Ideally my partner would also work in healthcare, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Ladies what should I do?? I'm a 32 year old woman with no kids.

Hi! I’m moving to LA from Chicago, base 90k - no debt. I live in a 1BD rn and have been browsing the market in LA to get an idea of rent. I’m mainly looking west of DTLA (ktown, la brea, pico rob, etc)it’s seeming like a 1BD may be out of reach. I’m not looking to pay more than $1800/mo. Any suggestions on neighborhoods I should consider? I’d like to be near grocery, restaurants, and would need parking. I enjoy being outdoors and would look to go on hikes/runs in my free time if that helps. TIA!

I had a failed natural FET in Sep & did a mock transfer 2 weeks ago (HFET). Results came back Receptive. I got my period 2 days after stopping the PIO. RE mentioned I can start embryo transfer this week & did not need to wait for my next cycle. My periods are not always regular, so I like the idea of not waiting for them to start but also nervous if this could impact the embryo transfer as it would not follow the same timeline as that of the mock cycle. Anyone try this approach with success?

HCG vs. Lupron trigger - based on your experience, have you found a difference in egg quality? I did a cycle with dual and one with just Lupron. Recovery was much easier on just Lupron but egg quality was poor (vacuoles, grainy, thicker membranes etc). For the next cycle, doc is suggesting going back to dual trigger. I have been on the antagonist protocol. Wondering if we should try a different protocol vs. switching the trigger. Thoughts?
