Hi everyone, I just received an offer for an internal corporate strategy position at a Fortune 500 healthcare company starting at 80k & 5% bonus each year, and will base out of Pittsburgh. I have 2 years of experience doing similar work (internal strategy only) and have my bachelors. Is this fair? Or is there opportunity to negotiate?

Thank you!

In my opinion, there is always room for negotiation. I never accept the first offer. I would try and up the bonus %.

Appreciate the suggestion! I will definitely bring that up in negotiations.

Never take the 1st offer!

For the specific job title you’d want to research on indeed or Glassdoor the payscale and tell the recruiter “this is the market value for the position” and you can state the number that fits best within that range adding because you have direct experience. From personal experience I always high-ball the number a bit in case further negotiations are needed.

I wanted to know if you had any tips for me, things you wish you knew before, or things previous leaders did for/to you that you found admirable or stayed with you. I want to make sure I’m there for them and want to be a leader they will remember positively.

Thank you so much!!

Another AMC offered me 124k 9 months ago for a similar role - which I turned down due to some red flags during interviews.
