Hi everyone! I received a verbal offer but having some 2nd thoughts on moving forward and leaning towards declining. When the recruiter gets back to me, should i wait for them to send me the written offer or just decline from the start? Is it bad to wait for them to draft an offer if im intending to decline anyways?

I’m an entrepreneur and been mainly involved in local small-market businesses for the past two decades.

I’m looking to transition into a position with a company that is involved with larger markets and bigger projects—something that that has a larger scale than my past projects.

I’m a mentor for a summer associate who I believe could be a great lawyer here (V100, small market if that matters). However, it is apparent he has no understanding of technology (redlines, word, excel). Based on his background, I believe it’s due to a lack of access. Would you ever recommend to your firm that he be given a course to catch up? Should I try and get him training on my own? Stay out of it? After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. My boss is asking me to do someone else’s task while they’re out on medical leave. This is the 2nd thing I’m having to take over for someone since someone else left to another dept.

How do I negotiate back to hourly with a fair rate when I already feel like they are refusing to pay for a promotion given in June?

In May the owner moved me to salary (at bare non exempt minimum rate). In June they promoted me to Level II Team lead and instituted On Call rotation which indicated we had expectations of 930a-930pm to take calls with no additional increase.

Hello! I was just offered a job, but the salary is significantly lower than the range I asked for and when I asked to negotiate they said, we can’t go any higher. Should I walk?

The range I gave was 80-85k/ annually and they said oh that should work, the range for this role is $35-$42/hr - but then they came back and offered me $35/hr.
