I thought I found the perfect position in March but I was let go today. I was blindsided. Never a complaint, my reviews were excellent and I got along well with the owners. My only issue was the PEO not speaking with me and going directly to the owners with her agenda. I asked ownership to work with me and I would pull the PEO in, if necessary. Apparently, they have a longstanding friendship and he does not think of them as a vendor as a friend. She suggested a on-site PEO rep and out I go!

Going on maternity leave in a few months and my manager just gave me a new long term assignment. I want to put my best foot forward and help out but I am also exhausted. What to do? I just want to nest in peace.

I feel like I prefer American/Int’l men over Canadian men. Mostly because everyone seems to know everyone here. Even in the big cities, it’s a small pond. But being in Canada, that makes for a long distance relationship by default…which most people aren’t into. Welp
