It really depends on your duties, industry,if you are in the city proper or the outskirts, is it an office or other type of environment etc. kinda need more detail here. Salaries are fairly low and compressed down there.

I have a colleague that lives in Baton Rouge,La working as a Generalist ( less than 10 yrs, no masters or cert) making 70k .

like

What are your duties, how many ee, and what industry.

Without a question should be making 100. Your skills will probably pair best with an HRBP type of role. Tons of opportunities are out there for your experience

Yes. Probably $60k-$80k for your experience and that role.

Physician Assistant salaries in the Chicago Area? I’ve practiced at an AMC for 5.5 years and make around 116k salary. Another AMC offered me 124k 9 months ago for a similar role - which I turned down due to some red flags during interviews. Recently got a 10k retention bonus when I voiced my intent to leave but still feel underpaid as I’m literally keeping my practice afloat.

Ok, maybe this has been done before, but I want to get a real life sense of the difference between EPLI and Private L&E (management side) practices. Let's do a poll:

1.) Primary source of business: EPLI or Private Companies?

2.) Number of matters you are currently working on

3.) Average billable rate (your year)

4.) Normal working hours/wk

5.) Percentages: Litigation vs Counseling

6.) Type of firm: ID, Big 4, Boutique, BigLaw, etc.

I'll kick things off in comments.

I learned that someone we just hired, in the same team, 1 level lower, came in making 20k more than me. This role is based in SF, and I'm in the midwest.

I have my master's, two years with the company, and was recently promoted last quarter.

I feel some way about this, and I'm wondering if I should bring this up with my manager? I'm grateful for the raise they gave me and the promotion last quarter, but I don't understand how someone at a lower level can be making more? I'm I being greedy?
