Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. 65K low in Chicago for finance job?

Recently moved to LA, and landed an internship as a digital marketer. The pay is $400-$600 every month and it’s on a bi-monthly pay. I would be working 20 hours a week minimum and driving an hour there and back. This would be my first internship but I’m afraid it’s not worth the pay. Any advice?

I see people in here don’t know how to give helpful advice at all. I’ve made the decision to just put my foot out of the door. I’ve voiced my concerns to the program manager. They were ignored. I think I’m willing to take a pay cut to get my life back. I work 100-125hrs a week I also work 7 days a week. The hours aren’t the issue. I’ve done it before it’s the fact that I miss having my weekend nights off. It’s a drain mentally . So here I begin a new job search .
