What is prorata rule for IRAs? I have an IRA at Vanguard that has grown pretty large over last 10 years ( got lucky with tech stocks). I have a separate small Fidelity IRA from a previous employer that they created to roll over my pension benefits. That second IRA is not “activated” (Fidelity has a button saying activate IRA but have not clicked it since was not sure if there are any implications to doing this). The most frustrating thing about getting rejected for a job is the excuse they use which gives zero insight into what it really was.

During my interview for a Senior role they asked what I felt was important in my role as an assurance senior. One of the things I said is I felt coaching was an important part of my role and gave my reasons. Their excuse for not giving me the role was because the company wasn't big enough and they didn't have anyone for me to coach.

Why are head hunters reaching out to me with middle market investment banking/consulting roles when I am in audit? Not even a CPA. They claim they hire auditors from big four and train them from ground up. Would I be stupid not to ask for more information? Or don’t waste my time. Senior in audit. Thx.

Leaving EY for Deloitte, do they still pay you for 2 weeks and make you leave immediately?

How hard is it for a Staff II in audit to transition to Tech Risk Management at EY or the other big 4 for that matter? Or would it be easier to move to a mid sized firm for a position like that.

Thoughts on considering/accepting counteroffers from current firm that you are leaving? I feel as if I will always have a target on my back and a reactive versus proactive positioning from the current firm says a lot as I had been asking for a switch for a little while. Contemplating an exit to a global asset manager company. It's an associate position in investment technical accounting. Currently at 90k and offer is for 105k plus ~20k year end bonus mcol. Sound like a good exit? I'm an S1 right now
