I am currently business analyst with total exp of 11 years. 9 years into sales last 2 years into Business Analyst. I want to move to product management. How can I start preparing for the same. What all books or certification required. I have exp in Jira, BRD, little bit of SQL. My domain is banking and finance. Please help. I want to get into companies like Adobe Atlassian Google Amazon .

Aim lower, tell your story in a way on your resume that is a unique value proposition. I joined a tech staffing firm, framing my industry experience as a way to connect with clients in that industry. They mostly hired kids fresh out of college and I took a huge pay cut, but it got my foot in the door. It was basically like a wolf of wallstreet type culture, but working at a place like that teaches you how to sell, although it is easy to burn out. Within a few years I have increased my TC by about 10x, which nearly doubled the most I ever made in my previous industry...

I did something similar a year ago, came from big 4, transitioned into a pre-sales solution engineer role. If there are any software experience in your current role, I’d recommend applying for similar roles at those companies as they value user experience from a storytelling perspective
Have you thought about sales working for a company like Workiva, Sage or another accounting or SEC SOX reporting software? I would try to leverage your CPA in your next opportunity.
