Hi everyone, I’m looking at making a career move from operations to sales, specifically tech. I say this because on my team I’ve created a niche for myself as the go-to tech person and was heavily involved in choosing software for multiple systems supported by Ops. Whenever I hear someone pitch to me about software, I always have to pitch back to my non-tech savvy team about which software we need and why. I’ve always been told I’d be good at sales, how do I switch over?

I had an interview for an Enterprise AE role and towards the end the HM said, “I think you’d be a great fit. I want you to move forward here, but I’m not sure if you’re b2b or Enterprise” At my last gig, this happened and they sold me on the less senior role by saying “it’s essentially the same role”(which obv, isn’t true; it just pays less). How do I vet in this situation situation to avoid getting screwed?

Facebook question: our organic reach has dropped significantly. Aside from the level of creativity dropping (i e. On the images we've switched from heavier Photoshop type photos to generic designs), is there anything else that we could've missed? Client is asking but we don't see anything else that could be affecting it. We post at similar times every day, and (as per the client's request) we are currently not running paid media. Thank you!

Anyone else commission only? My company has some teams commission only but everyone I’ve ever spoken to nowadays has some base salary.

Can anyone from Google Oracle Amazon Salesforce help a fellow job seeker get into sales at one of these companies ? If anyone is looking for an op on that Q1 referral bonus I’m your hook up! It could be a large number of other large companies, tech is preferred, anything to do with AI, Cloud, is even better.

8 YOE at my company & plan to ask for a raise for the first time ever. Gone from entry level S&M to essentially the Manager of S&M. I’m at $74K salary and plan to ask for $95K (I’ve exceeded target initially set for 3 people, solo). Can anyone share email text they used to ask for a raise? My first time asking… ever!

I have an opportunity for anyone looking to do some side hustle BDR work to make some extra cash on the side. Probably about 5-10 hours per week. PM me if interested for more info

Hey guys!

Currently working in consulting - looking to switch to an SDR / BDR role next year. Wanted to understand what a 1st year SDR / BDR would make at tech firms. Open to advice, thoughts, recommendations for firms for me to check out and apply to!

Thanks in advance 😊

I hired a start up tech company for the company I currently work for and have for the past 10 years. I love my current company but the money and rate of growth I need isn’t there anymore. I could excel with this tech company, I think I would love it, I know I would rock it. Is it unethical to pursue a position with the tech company?

Seeking advice: should I switch from a large startup to a significantly smaller one? Details in comments

I want to transition from SE to AE. What are the skills I’d need to build up to be ready? I’m not sure I’d be able to handle the paycut required to go into the BDR/SDR role and build up. I’m also doing an MBA. Any tips?

I have 8 years experience as a sales manager in retail sales managing big box furniture stores with sales in excess of 15M-20M annually. I also have experience in Insurance sales. I’m looking to get into tech sales as a solutions engineer/sales engineer or SDR. How do I crack into this industry? What should I expect to earn starting out? How would I go about this? I’m a very successful sales professional looking to transition into the tech space. Thanks for your insight in advance

Hi All! Would anyone be willing to give me a referral to an Account Executive role at MSFT, AMZN, or GOOGL. Currently Account Executive at Dell and foucused on Cloud services (yes we have cloud services at dell lol)?

If your company is hiring comment below and your referral link, let’s help each other out! Let’s go!!!!!

Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).

They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.

Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?

Does anyone work in a BDR or AE role for Databricks in UK? Any insights to culture, comp and progressions so far?

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking for Sales Development Manager, SDR Manager or BDR Manager roles within the SaaS space here in London, UK. Does anyone know if their company is currently hiring for these roles and could anyone kindly act as a referral? I have 8 years of BDM experience and just under 4 years as a BD team lead manager. Any help would be very much appreciated
