Hi everyone - I’m one of the bowl leaders, and I’m disappointed to see so much negativity, and frankly, racist and discriminatory tones. I want to make a request that we all remain civil and refrain from personal attacks and stereotyping. Let’s please use this as a forum to engage professionally and come together around our group’s unique challenges in the workplace.

Thanks for intervening Bowl leader ... over the past days have seen concerted attacks on by analyst by singling him out just because he has a different point of view.

Hope people can appreciate different points of views without going on personal attacks. I find it amusing that anything pro government in this bowl is deemed pro fascist by folks with agenda.

Hope you take action against folks and then also explain your actions- so it is clear that you are not playing with biases.

You all honestly need to chill out a little.

I’m not against people voicing their opinions on their government here but if it makes other people uncomfortable or just creates pointless heated debates then maybe it’s better to avoid it.

Also let’s be frank here. Majority of the governments in South Asia are corrupt and filled with prejudice. Our culture even created a system where we can discriminate amongst our own race (based on caste). Can we please shut up about it, especially if it leads to pointless arguments?

We’ve all migrated one way or the other to another country with a shitty corrupt government, where we’re still considered outsiders and treated the same. Maybe let’s use this bowl to be productive and help others in our community 🌝 instead of just starting pointless arguments.

None of you are politicians, all of us stay anonymous, expressing your political opinions on this bowl doesn’t do anyone any good. May as well try to be a decent human being and be helpful to other than harmful.

“Engage Professionally” is a very good objective for everyone to strive for. Unfortunately, there are folks who cherish/flourish/crave to bring up hate filled posts. You need to either exit or learn to live with these people. This is bound to happen everywhere. You can learn to ignore or keep fighting back.

Thanks OP. I wish it didn’t have to come down to so much negativity and slurs while just having a debate. I am sure we are capable of doing a lot better without having to resort to name calling, stereotyping and false characterization of one’s viewpoints. Also let’s be a lot less aggressive in our tone - that itself is a trigger for the endless mudslinging that we are seeing on here.

A1 agree. So that’s what the Bowl leader should have posted and requested everyone to do. Banning analyst and a couple others is not the solution. Bring Analyst and EY and who ever else on either side back to the bowl.

I joined this bowl to get perspective of people from same background but 70% of the time , its about Indian politics.

Not saying , you have to agree or disagree but if this bowl was less politics it would get contribution from people beyond the ones interested in politics of 1 country.
