Hi,

Let me tell you my story. I am working as a Sr security engineer for 8 years and my CTC is 8.2 LPA. Yes, I was underpaid. And i was short of confidence even to attend interview. Then somehow I managed to find courage to face an interview and I cleared it and asked for 15LPA and I received the offer letter.

I got the self belief when they told me not to worry abut the past and the company is looking for candidate who has a potential to work for. That made me confident and I prepared the answers aligning to that company's requirement.

Be confident. Be courageous even to get rejected by them.

You wil get yours! Learning from the failures is key to your growth. All the best :)

Don't worry bro ,luck will favour you one day .I graduated BCA from distance .having ३ year gap in education . First company off role ..bad luck continued and in second company 3 third parties changed .3 company project gone .we got fired .
I decided to change my profile from application support to ORACLE DBA .
Finally got DBA profile on third party payroll.accrpted the role in 10% less from previous package at 4.8 lpa .
GOD blessed me next year got permanent payroll with techm 8 lpa .
And finally God helped and blessed within a year Joined Fiserv at 12.5 lpa .
Conclusion only self belief and have patience over the GOD .
You will get much better than your thought.

Have a great journey ahead |||||

Atelast you reached till salary discussion, I got rejected even before that till my 20th inteview.
But then I suddenly I scored a 120% hike offer.

One day your experience and the company expectations will align. Be positive, dont lose hope.

Very good to hear this

I got more than 50+ rejections in 3 months. They were not willing to give even 40% hike, but I finally joined a company which gave me 100% hike.
They might reject with simple reasons or we may not be fit for that role or we may not answer correctly.
Never let the experience go waste , if you don't answer question in 1 interview make sure you learn for next. Always ask feedback in interviews.

From naukri and linked, I also used to get around 5-10 calls daily.. and 10 interviews weekly atleast.

At the end I got so fed up that I used to quote a figure they cant offer, even they sone companies still linked up interviews.

Can you share the some markers on from prev. pay level to current? Also the role change, if possible. I am looking for a healthy 60-70% raise but its not being materialized. However, I consider myself as underpaid being with same company for past 5 years.

All the best, don't loose hope. You can do it just focus on what went wrong and evaluate all these interviews yourself and be prepared for next!!

I understand the frustration friend, if you did not get what number you are expecting that basically mean one of 2 things
1. There are many people in que who might be ready to take less then what you are asking.
2. The company felt you did match their expectations.
Always ask what was the reason that you went through all tech discussion and hr discussion failed.

Bro, I am 3.5 yr experienced QA and finally bagged a 14LPA offer. It was not that easy. I got rejected approximately in 12-13 interviews in the past 5-6 months and now I got the offer learning from mistakes. Don't worry bro, best is yet to come.

likehelpful

I have 10 yrs of experience and have given 15 interviews in last 6 months.. finally cracked an offer with 100% hike

likeupliftinghelpful

I am not an expert but just a word of advice note down the questions you aare asked after each interview and google the answers. Compare if the answers if you have given is correct or not.. I think there is a chance you are making the same mistakes again and again.. In this way you will know if your interview went well or not..

like

Don't feel bad...ask them how much max they can offer..even if it's 10-15%>>accept that offer and resign..in 90 days u will get many other offers..I did the same. I got initial hike as 15%..now I got the offer for more than 50%. I am having total 14 yoe.

It's very important that we learn from failures. After every interview keep a record of the questions asked, and what could have been answered better and if there is anything new to know. Keep at it and don't stop until you win and them some!

Chin up buddy!!...Post here when you get your job..That would be greatly inspiring!

Yes we all would like to hear from you that finally you got an offer. Please share once u will get

The important point is that you are assuming that everyone is successful. You should be proud that you got 10 opportunities to display your candidature which means you have the right skill set. Interviews are a perception driven game and displaying confidence and right attitude will help you ace any interview. So your objective should be being prepared and giving it your best shot. Rest leave it to lady luck. All good things take time.

Unsuccessful attempts are not posted here so that doesn't mean that all are successful . you just have to try more to try your luck

Since then I’ve learned that one of my classmates (started 2-3 months before me due to COVID) was promoted last cycle.
