Accenture Strategy fishes. I am interviewing for a banking strategy manager role. Any tips on the interview process? I have one behavioral round. One round to discuss my background (resume) and one case interview. Is the case interview very quant heavy? Is it interviewer led or interviewee? Any tips/advice for the resume round ?
Thanks in advance!
I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.

This sounds like chaos so I know employers are perceiving it as chaos. There really needs to be a solid answer as to why you could only hold two jobs for more than week during this two year period. You should probably get your story solid. You might want to reach out to career services at your law school to help prepare you for interviews. Maybe the approach you should take is to try and find a good mentor as well to help you. You’re probably going to have to network hard to find a position and that’s the reality so a mentor could be useful.
Yeah…I was definitely thinking one of my only options would be to network.
Initially, I would tell them during my interviews I left my first job bc I wanted to practice another area of law, which was true, but I started feeling like that wasn’t the best explanation. I would also mention I was job searching throughout that time, which was true. But just coming from their perspective…it does seem sketchy. Thanks for your advice!
Idk what type of advice I’m looking for…but those who have been in the game for a while, how should I go about things?
The two jobs I mentioned where I was there for like a week aren’t on my resume bc I feel like a resume reflects ya skills, etc. I ain’t learn a damn thing from the firms.
Also, being that I was unemployed for a while gives “red flags” on my resume…& I’ve being getting asked about the gap…A LOT. I never really know what to say so I just tell the truth & bring up the 2 firms.
Were they big firms?
Your feelings are valid OP. What you are experiencing now is a testament as to how hard the situation you are in. You are expected to be something in a span of time that is not so favorable. Don't feel discouraged though because it is not your fault, it is the firms fault. Keep searching and you will eventually find a place you can thrive in
Keep searching you will find the right place soon! Don't give up hope! Good luck!
One firm has like 4 locations throughout the state with like 20ish attorneys. The other firm is small.
