Facebook wants me to interview for a much lower title than what I currently have at Google. "Without 5 years of experience, your chances are slim for this position" is what they said when I applied. Do they really think that is supposed to entice anyone?

I'm an experienced HRBP who's looking for some career advancement advice. I'm currently studying for my SPHR and looking to take the leap to HR Director roles. Resume question that I struggle to answer. If someone has been working for ~20 years and has worked at a number of companies during that time (let’s say 10 for the sake of this example), the resume becomes way too long. Is it okay to remove the 1st couple of jobs that were held after college even if relevant? Or maybe delete a job or 2 if they aren’t 100% relevant to the rest of the person’s career? Final option is to leave names of companies (and titles) of early roles but delete the content.

I’m a boomerang employee and a friend of mine noticed that my company posted a similar job description to mine on indeed 10 days ago. My boss didn’t tell me they were hiring another person in our department (small department - 4 people). Should I be worried? Should I bring it up to my boss? I’m really stressing myself out over it. For reference I would consider myself a top performing employee / everyone was very excited when I boomeranged. Not sure if I’m overthinking (I do that a lot).

I’m in NA and we check IDs for specific roles that we have had issues with. It’s not illegal as we did it at my last company too. Maybe ask for a gym ID or library card?
Tell them to be prepared to have their drivers license ready for a video/in person interview. If you kindly explain the issues you’ve run into it shouldn’t be an issue. I used to run into this with technical candidates.
We take a screenshot of the video interview and confirm with all the interviewers during debrief prior to extending offers.
What do you mean? Not the same person based on appearance or they lied on their resume?
This is becoming more and more common. We’re also seeing resumes with completely made up companies on them.
