I’m a senior associate in BL who gets great reviews, but wanted to post because I’m feeling frustrated. At this point in my career, most partners take a back seat on deals and trust my judgment.

There is one partner who I like a lot, and whose reviews have always been great and generous. However, she is a micromanager to the max, needing to check everything (even minor things). Sometimes I will do something exactly as she likes it, and she still marks it up.

Is it possible to get an Internal switch after the first year? How achievable is it? Any tips on securing a switch would be helpful. Consider that ratings are good and good. Happy with Barclays but not the team right now. It was good when I joined and there was a big reshuffle/people left.
