Hi everyone! Recently got reached out to interview for a GP stakes analyst position. I find the space rather interesting, but am weary of the exit ops. I would want to go back to B-School in the next year/2 years and eventually transition to traditional PE. IMO the GP stakes position would be a good starting point into understanding investment trends among PE funds, as well as a better understanding the workings of the different departments of the LP (for a potential return). Thoughts?

Depends on where you want to take your career. This role can transition to being a LP or even within the IR team of a GP.

It would be able to transition to an investing or operating role in a PortCo as those are very different

Makes sense! Thanks so mucch

I feel like your thinking is on point - the GP stakes position sounds like a great place for you to start.

Ok. I got an offer for a “senior consultant” role at this ~75 person company. They offered me $115k base and I’d actually like to be at 130. I want to just ask if there’s room for an additional 15k in the base. I don’t want to qualify my reasons why. Tell me why I should approach it differently or if this will be fine. I figure the worse they’ll say is “no”.

Morning everyone!

Are there any Marketing Operations people out there looking for a manager position? We're a fully remote team (though if you're in the DC area we tend to go in Wednesdays, not required).

We're specifically looking for someone with Marketo experience due to a need to revamp our instance quickly.

Have more experience than a manager? We are also open to a director.

So, I've realised there's a problem with developers, a lot of them are coders, not engineers. And another issue, is that, companies don't really care about their progression as far as I'm aware, so what did you guys do in your own time to transition from being a coder to an engineer?

Hi all, I am wondering if there are any relationship coaching professionals in the area.

Am a single guy late 20s, objectively great on paper (good looking, active, social, high TC, people say I’m “smart” lol)

All said, I’ve never been in a long term relationship and have come to the conclusion there must be something off about me that I can’t uncover or fix on my own.

Would love to work with someone so I can one day find a long term GF!
