Has anyone ever transferred a mosaic embryo? Some background - I just did my third ivf cycle. First - 17 mature eggs, 0 made to blast. Second - 14 mature eggs , 4 blast , 0 normal. Third - 20 mature eggs, 4 blast , 2 abnormal, 2 mosaic. I never thought I would transfer a mosaic embryo and I do plan to do another cycle of ivf, but curious if anyone has ever tried to transfer a mosaic and what your experience has been?

How are the paralegals in your department organized/structured? What are the pros and cons? We’re exploring the idea of a paralegal center of excellence. Currently paralegals are reporting to the lawyers they support. The disadvantages are that the paralegals are siloed, so there’s no back-up if they’re out and they don’t have anyone who can support them if their work gets too busy. Additionally, the lawyers have a hard time accurately evaluating them since they can’t easily compare their work.

Currently not a resident of CA, but will be in September. Accepted an in house job based in CA (will be remote until then). CA bar website says I must be a CA resident to waive into the in house program. I called the office and was told I don’t have to be a CA resident.

For those currently in in-house roles, how many have support staff? Dedicated paralegals? Contract specialists ? We run a very lean legal department, where one attorney handles all contracts for a $3b publicly traded company.

Just started working in-house within the last couple of months. First real attorney gig after doing compliance. The GC was terminated and I had to fill in the role as GC (even though that’s not what I’m called). My company says they don’t need a GC. Talked to my boss today and they want to hire another to take things off my plate since I am the only attorney. They plan to rewrite my job position to do more risk and compliance. Am I wrong for feeling like I should have been included in the convo?

What is the difference in the work or day to day for inhouse at a tech company vs. inhouse at a media/entertainment company? Is the legal work itself largely going to be the same?

I have one pro bono case that I kept when I left my firm to go in house. It’s a matter completely unrelated to my company and I have malpractice insurance through the nonprofit organization associated with the case. I’ve made clear to my client that I’m repping this client in my personal capacity. No one has asked me specifically about pro bono stuff at my company - if I know there’s no conflict of interest, is this something I should disclose? To whom should I disclose this?

Is it weird to ask during an interview in house whether there is any time tracking?

Context: I’m leaving my current job because I absolutely despise billing and cannot get with the “record your hours” program. I have ADHD so jumping from project to project is important for me to keep my focus (it’s what works for me), and having to stop and bill messes up that chaotic rhythm I found. So I want to be 100% sure there will be no tracking my daily time in this new position.

I started an in-house role about 5 months ago and I still don’t have enough work. I feel like I’m constantly flagging that I have capacity, but nothing has changed. Given the state of the economy, I’m getting worried about layoff and have started looking for new jobs. Any recs for how to spin my quick departure in interviews? Is being honest and talking about low volume okay?
