Hi everyone, what are your thoughts on essential skills, knowledge or even certifications needed to build a strong case around transferring to the cyber practice? IAM specifically sounds like a good balance of technical work and non technical work so potentially targeting that team. Im recognized as a top performer as an analyst in automation, have experience around multiple programming languages and have been exposed to tools such as wire shark and Splunk.

I am getting a good project in current company where there will be lot of learning
Initially it will be manual and then it will have automation testing. At the same time I have an offer in another company with good package but there won't be much learning compared to the current company project I am yet to get locked. Is learning important and priority for 4.5 years of experience? Or better to go with the high package offer? (Other company offer is from TCS). Your valuable comments would help.

Starting at McKinsey as associate in a couple of months. Currently still working at a T2 firm, was thinking whether to leave current job now and spend a few weeks preparing for the grind at Mck. Goal is to get to EM in 1-2 years, 1 year being the more aspirational target.

Advice on best use of time and tips on how to fast track to EM as exp hire?

Want to get the perspective of younger attorneys. We’re a 4-attorney firm (2 partners, one associate, one OC) looking to add a 5th attorney. I left a mid-sized litigation firm on the East Coast where I was a partner to open my own firm. Decision was driven by quality of life. We are a civil lit firm. We don’t have billing requirements per se. We have expectations, but we’re reasonable - big on flexibility & quality of life. What are young associates looking for when evaluating job opportunities?

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

My friend has following offers from three companies after MBA (two offcampus and one from campus)

1. Finance Effectiveness/ EPM role at one of the Big 4
2. Deal Advisory role at one of the Big 4
3. Organization strategy role from one of the top consulting companies (not Big 4)

Which role offers the best exit options? All the offers from US support teams of the companies.
OS role offers better than the other two (only slightly), but I am interested in a good profile
