I have just gone through my final rounds of interviews for a non-counsel in-house role focused on compliance (think big tech FAANG). Part of me thinks this is finally the perfect opportunity to rid myself of biglaw for good, but the other part of me thinks this may be blowing my chance at future attorney opportunities. I am honestly over biglaw and don't think I would ever look back, but the prospect of being permanently tagged as a non-attorney is somewhat scary. Has anyone gone down this path?

NEED SOME CAREER ADV

i am pretty good at my job but am not seeing fairness in pay and can't stand my department (cool kids club/good ole boy club). I am being considered for a HR Analyst role as we speak with potential of making $20k more (HR and Talent Acquisition are separate at my company). Is it worth the jump to HR/Benefits or should I just get the experience and eventually make more money in Recruiting? I have a general background in HR but find recruiting to be super easy, to be honest.

Does anyone have a aPHR? Is it worth it? If you do have one, dos you pay for any of the prep classes and how long did it take you to study for it? Do you have any suggestions/recommendations for good certifications/ free to low cost classes for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion worker?
