I would push you to go higher, never lower! Never underestinate your education and worth! Go for it! What's the worst that will happen? They'll say it's too High and you'll negotiate to a range where very one is still happy. I'd advise to back up your requests with solid reasons like your education, experience and certifications plus the types of skills you're bringing into the role. Good luck!
65 is pretty standard now for 1-5 year exp medical technologists. If you were making less than that at a hospital you were underpaid. Overall COL is slightly higher in MD than where I’m at, so I feel comfortable saying that. If you’re going for FSE (field service engineer) DEFINITELY go higher. I’d aim for>80. Be happy with 75-80. FSE’s do a lot of travel and the hours are never what you think they will be. It seems this post is older, any updates?
