Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Ideally, you are currently working. The process varies, but I would expect one to three months depending on backlog (shutdown still has impact) and your case (if you have issues, it will take longer). Some firms will hire you before suitability, but it is not a great idea if you are unable to obtain since they would likely have to let you go at that point.
Firm has already hired me and basically said as long as I don’t have felonies I should be able to get public trust.
Paperwork
Public trust is easy to get. Once you onboard to company and project you’ll put in the paper work.
When do I get the clearance? How do I work in the meantime? How long does it take?
They might do the paperwork prior to you on boarding or afterwards. Depends on how much history you have.
They’ve said no paperwork beforehand. Just a basic background check.
Public Trust isn’t a clearance, it’s a souped up background check, and depending on the agency they may grant you an interim so you can be bashed and work
High risk requires a personal interview as well as contacts/interviews with all your references
