Looking for advice/perspective. currently a senior 1 (ignore my title on here, it isn’t updated) hoping to early promo to manager at the end of my senior 2 year. Quick scenario:
If I have a consulting offer from a different Big 4 that has a start date post-10/15, so that in theory I would not have to submit a 2 weeks notice until post-10/1 (bonus payout date) but I sign the offer pre-9/30, am I obligated (looking for both legal & professional standpoint) to tell PwC because it is with a competitor? I have 5 years of experience in IT/Cybersecurity. I wanted to make a move to be a Security Sales Engineer, based on a job description and a hiring manager reaching out to me via LinkedIn. This seems like a role I can leverage my knowledge as sort of a consultant for clients. The only thing I know about potential compensation is base salary would be 70% of the total income and the rest commissions. Glassdoor hasn't helped much. What's a good starting point for salary expectations?

Interviewed with firm. Crazy close to home. Firm does my specialty. Seems like a good fit (I have ptsd from previous firms so gun shy). I think I got low balled salary wise. Like $25k less than what I am making now. I would have 4+ years more experience than any of their associates. Their most senior associate has like 4 kids and has a stay at home wife. I have recently joined BIG3 firm as analyst . I was very excited before joining but the team I am being put in has all maintanence project. I can't ask for team change for atleast 6 to 8 months.

On a positive side I am put on one AI product project where I can do some analysis based on client queries. Mostly using pandas and cloud technologies.

I was thinking to enroll to scaler course to improvise my ML concepts in more depth and doing more projects.
