I currently have a Master of Arts in Public Administration and am trying to break out of the realm of government and law enforcement.. that being said, I have been pondering the idea of getting certified in Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and sustainable business. Would this be worth the investment or should I leave that to people with a heavy finance background? Just want to be more marketable since my main background is in law enforcement data analysis.

I failed FAR in January and am retaking it in a month. I changed my strategy to focus more on cumulative review to make sure I wasn’t forgetting stuff I learned in the beginning (I skipped cumulative review last time). I am basically hammering out MCQs on CPA Ninja now until my test. Has anyone done a similar approach? What percentage correct on the MCQs were you consistently getting to have a passing score?

I’ve been at my agency for almost 3 years now and recently got promoted from junior level to mid-level. I discovered copywring my senior year of college and got hired right after I graduated. I feel like I’m in a vicious cycle. I think people in my practice group don’t like working with me, and that when I make mistakes they are held against me where I’m not given room to grow. My whole group talks badly about the associates who are still learning/make mistakes, so I know that these mistakes I’m making are being said about me too. Partners in my group make an effort to get to know other associates but not me. Anxiety is causing my happiness and work product to slip. What do I do?

Anyone in the boston area looking for a good WLB tax senior job? My last firm is hiring. No minimum billable hours needed. Client facing tax role. Great bonus structure (my last payout was 20% of my annual salary and I was there for less than one year). Very competitive salary. I won't have left if not for going to a big 4. Great team. I love my team when I worked there and they were like family to me. They encouraged me to be brave and pursue big 4 if that's better for me in the long run.

Hate when GDS is swamped and then they don’t let US staff prep the returns that could’ve been done 2 weeks ago so now you gotta work all weekend. So over engagement economics bs.
