bringing a little bird action indoors…

I had left ZS Associates due its long working hours. I want to know if the general work life situation has changed now. Would love to join back if it has changed.
Since long working hours is a relative term, here's my definition of it -
I was working out of ZS Pune office and had a team meeting everyday at 10am. We used to leave office between 10.30-11.30pm daily. If there were any follow-ups after the onshore calls, we used to stretch till 2am or so (once or twice a fortnight).
Do you know anyone who became Crypto rich?

Anyone running a search fund on here?
How are you using your $250 tech spend??
I love my cast iron

How people plan to use the data is what database is needed. In your line of work it is important to know when to use relational, document, group, key/value, etc. Probably worth exploring messaging, in memory processing like spark, and orchestration tools. Wouldn't hurt to get your hands on the modern data engineering stacks in cloud offerings.

Current is Spark, and for what's next I've heard Ray. There's also plenty demand for full text DB tech like Elastic, but idk how stable that's going to stay given how quickly language ML advances. On the fringe, graph databases have been a cool sounding idea since DB's came to be and have consistently hovered in the background--but as you might have guessed from the phrasing, the demand isn't really there.
You've been in the game for this long you should look for director or senior leadership roles, not coding
There are (at least) 2 tracks for progression in engineering roles - people management and deep technical contributor. Both are as valuable and “prestigious” as the other and pay is on par, and both should be just as well respected. Kudos to the OP for their passion and continuous growth after all these years
I’m biased as I’m recruiting for all the NoSQL database teams at AWS so I say noSQL 😂

NoSQL and document are the same thing. It's listed above.
