Considering leaving a startup for a new role. Next week my first batch of options reach their cliff. Last year around this time the new price was set (my strike price = current price).

I sent a FL contract to a new client and they came back to me with a cap of 20 hours on the project. It’s for a press release and an opinion piece along with research and pitching it to trade publications. When I initially accepted it at a $100 hourly rate, I assumed I’d be able to bill in the hours. But the cap limits the work I can do. How do I negotiate? Anyone else have pandemic burnout? 🔥 Work at my agency has been very intense for the last 18 months and I feel like the adrenaline has long worn off. I'm performing as normal, but amongst the never-ending churn of deadlines I feel disconnected, devalued and disillusioned. I'm run down, my mood is pretty low and I no longer have the energy for my own creative projects. All I do is work, eat and sleep. Am I alone or is this happening to other copywriters right now?
