Definitely the Three UK prepaid SIM, as it’s one of the few plans that include coverage in Switzerland alongside the rest of the EU (and 70+ countries in general). £25, 12 GB roaming data, super easy to buy in the UK.
@OP if your sabbatical falls after Brexit date and there is no deal, don’t buy a UK SIM card since there will be roaming charges again in the EU
Thanks! It actually starts next week so getting in before Brexit date. Starting time-off mode. 😎 thanks fish!
Most of the major UK carriers have crossborder agreements that will let you use it in other countries, and are available in the kiosk in the airport. I’ve used Three, EE, and my wife’s on GiffGaff. You can check the countries you’re traveling to on their websites for coverage - note that GiffGaff is cheapest, but is only convenient if you’ve got a few weeks before departure to have them deliver it, as they’re mostly available by mail
Just use your PwC phone...
Will be on sabbatical for 3 months and unable to use the PwC phone.
I live in London. I have a Pay-As-You-Go sim, which is 20 pounds for 12GB of data for a 30 day period.
I’ve used it while traveling in Portugal, Italy, UAE, Germany, and France and had no issues.
