Anyone else find so many things are just exponentially harder right now? Say you have a project or idea you’ve been told to pursue. There’s pushback EVERYWHERE. Those who work for me. Those whose inputs are necessary to execute project/idea. Everyone is DONE. And I get it but also don’t. It pushes me closer & closer to quitting, new job or no new job. One can only fight battles on so many fronts. FWIW, I work in a “matrix” organization, which I’ve come to believe means “getting nothing done.”

Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code. I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”. Just wondering: 1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?

Profile - MBA from one of the IIMs, Deloitte S&O, total and post mba experience = 2 I am getting an industry offer for 34 LPA which I feel is huge considering my experience and role also seems good. My only confusion is that I feel if I stay in Deloitte for 1-2 more years, I might be able to switch to MBB or Kearney. I always wanted to try the client site lifestyle and might get better exit opportunities after that. What should I do? Thank you.

Our CSM department is going through a major restructure right now. There has been a huge amount of turn over since the beginning of the year. Our managers have not given us any insight to what the new restructure will look like, they have also pushed out our annual raise conversations until the end of April.
