Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

MBB em level role vs. director level tech (non FAANG) exit? Coming from b4, roughly 10 yoe. I know it’s probably a personal preference thing but hoping to get opinions here. Tech role is $190k base plus a 30% target bonus. MBB role i got a verbal offer without a comp figure yet but my understanding is it’s around there, maybe 10-20% higher (or maybe much higher depending on bonus).

Didn’t fully expect to get the MBB offer honestly, but both beat my 180/198 b4 comp. Now i’m torn.

Anyone familiar with health care industry in SoCal? What is the normal range of base salary for a senior accountant or accounting consultant role for a public health care company? I am a S3 (no healthcare experience) and have been looking but noticed that healtcare companies or providers are offering really low pay, not comparable to other industry. Am I right?

Got a verbal offer for a job that I want. The offer is pretty good too, more in line with the work I want to do, 40% raise in base salary, and other benefits are roughly the same. Waiting on the official offer, to come on Monday. The problem is, Stockholm syndrome is real, I keep feeling bad for leaving my team as busy season is kicking off. What are ways to deal with this “guilt”?

Should you be prepared to take a pay cut / have no pay increase when looking to pivot roles? Eg move to a new line of work where you have the transferrable skills but perhaps limited subject matter experience.

I have an offer at very small company (30 team) called Jasplabs which works with US clients. They have very less infrastructure. They are currently working on powerbi dashboards and moving on to IBM SPSS. I have one year experience as Data Analyst and i have asked them for 9LPA. If they provide that, it's a almost 3 times hike from my current salary. I am just skeptical on how it will help my career path into data engineer and how much future does SPSS have? Is it beneficial?
