Some schools allow you to retake a test and submit the scores after your application is in, as long as it’s a few weeks from the notification deadline. How does this work considering interviews? Is it worth it to take advantage of the option to retake after app submission if you’re on the low side? Just not sure it will really make a difference if they’re already in the middle of the review process ...
Anyone interviewing with McKinsey and/or BCG? I'm looking for regular case (and fit) practice partners over the next 2-4 weeks.
How much do Glassdoor reviews matter to you? I had a phone interview last week with a company that invited me in for an interview. They didn’t send confirmation they promised and reviews are terrible.
I have an associates degree and 3 years of experience as a process operator at a oil distillation refinery. It’s shutting down and I really feel lost/ scared. I’m applying everywhere but hate this feeling of uncertainty. Not for me but for my kids. I don’t mind learning something new , any advice? I was thinking truck driving (CDL) or lineman school… I don’t mind moving but I love being a process operator
Wondering if I should start a business supporting b.school applicants. FWIW I graduated MBA2014 from London Business School, interviewed 20+ admits and helped countless more breakdown their application approach (identify unique selling points for essays, review essays, should they resit GMAT, how to get off waitlist - which I did, etc). What do you need the most help with? What would you be willing to pay? How much support time do you think you need?
Anyone have a strategy consulting cover letter they wouldn’t mind sharing that I could reference while creating mine for this job I’m applying for?

I am a graduating senior majoring in computer science and I got a job offer from Antra. They are offering $60,000 annual and have a $12,000 penalty if I leave during my first year. The company is located in dulles virginia. Just looking for advice on if the company is reputed and if I should join them or not? Additional info: I am having a hard time even getting interviews and this is the only offer I have right now. And I am an international student
I accepted an offer to join a national firm after graduating this summer. The pay is decent, and I am relatively happy so far (it’s only been a month since I joined). Today I received an email from a bigger, more prestigious firm I applied to months ago. They’re asking if I am still looking for an Associate role. I would like to interview with them to see what they have to offer. Would that be considered ‘disloyal’ towards my current firm that I just joined a month ago?
KPMG 🐠: Had 3rd phone interview (MD lvl) 1.5weeks ago but have not heard back, advice on next steps? (I reached on Mon for update, no resp)
How long is the recruitment process in bank of America? After technical interview when will HR will connect with us?
Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if I put in my two weeks without another job lined up? What if I quit on the spot? I have some solid leads and interviews lined up, but I had a panic attack today and don’t know how much longer I can do this here.
Any recent grads quit without anything lined up? I'm a recent grad and only have 1.5 YOE but I'm feeling so burnt out and never want to come back to consulting. I have several first/second round interviews and recruiters reaching out but still am worried I'm bailing too soon (for other exits). How do you know the job isn't worth it?
I am S2 in KPMG getting 98k recently interviewed with EY, is 125k too much to ask for?????

AA EXP 🐟, any of you have experience with chance of upgrade flying from NYC to LAX / SFO during standard consulting travel hours?
Is it my luck or are recruiters really backed up and taking forever to get back about status? I got an offer for an internship only after reaching out about status a week after they said they would get back.
I am up for promotion next year. Wasn’t able to do much outside of project work since July because of some personal issues. Have decent Utilization (110%), good reviews but nothing that says...cotd
I am interested in getting my SHRM-CP certification this year and I was wondering which study methods and materials worked best for those of you who passed the exam. Also, what are your roles in HR?!
What was your utilization like after taking parental leave? About to take a couple months and I’m curious how much it will impact my year end utilization % (not that this will impact how long I take off).EY
I live in and absolutely love California. No other state compares in my mind (industry, career opportunities, salary, culture, diversity, food, weather, landscape, political inclination, etc). If I were to consider temporarily (2-3 years) moving to another state to accumulate more wealth on the way to FI, what states (specifically cities) would make me least miserable?

If your existing visa is expired and you get an RFE for extension do you need to repatriate while the appeal/further process happens? Thanks!
This is my last week on an ugly, long project I hated and begged to get off of. Now that I have another project starting next week I am anxious about if I actually had it good on this one. Thoughts?
We are having our 1st “Share the Mic” discussing: Diversity in the Workplace. Weds 12.16@12PM EST. Details: While it is widely known that sexism and racism are prevalent in the corporate sector, how has that affected you? Are you aware only thirty-two white women, three black men, one Latinx woman, and zero black women head Fortune 500 companies? Did you also know some people might be surprised to learn that discrimination is also rampant in philanthropic and non profit institutions?
How to diplomatically quit while in the middle of a project? Junior-ish and not going to a competitor (I understand we’re all replaceable...)
I feel like my classroom is really small. It’s an interior room, so there are no windows, which doesn’t help. I’m looking for suggestions that make my room feel larger and brighter. Thanks!

For anyone who is in the Financial Services niche for audit, do you think fund admin at a 20%-25% pay bump is a good exit move as you hit senior? My firm has some solid clients and decent exposure but we’re forced to work on Employee Benefit Plans in the summer and I feel that hinders professional growth
Slalom's maternity and paternity leave are well below industry average. I've heard rumors that this is slated to change but I haven't seen any action. Anyone have better Intel than nothing and rumors?
