Ok so need an opinion. 98%of me wants to stay at my current position as a resource room teacher. 2% of me wants to change schools due to a toxic work environment. My counterpart was my mentor 8 years ago. After 2 years the mentoring ended and we should be on the same playing field right? She has been at my school 2 years longer than me. Yes she is the team lead for leadership but that is just acting as a liaison between admin and the sped dept. She is toxic and I would miss my students 🤷🏼‍♀️

I saw a posting at Deloitte that says range is $78-144k and that “at Deloitte it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range “; any idea on where they typically hire at for this role? I’d need to be at $125-130k and no idea if that’s reasonable.

I interviewed with Goldman Sachs for 3 different divisions for Internal Audit Associate role. After successful interviews, they asked me about which division do I want to work with. I gave them the order of the roles I am interested in. Next step was basic talks with Recruiter and Immigration team. They gave me to fill recruiter form (focussed on Salary expectations) - TC in NYC on LinkedIn is 85k to 140k. I gave 150k as I wasn't unaware about the range before.

Looking to move from an Account Management type position in Finance to Account Management in advertising. Insofar as the job hunt goes, which is the best search medium? Resume alone is misleading.

I am a project manager with the strong desire to transition into product management but I’m feeling a little discouraged. Every opportunity I come across mentions 7-10 years experience. I just started training for the Google UX certification with hopes that may better prepare me. Any other suggestions? Words of advice on how to best make this transition?

HELP: I got my CPA license, spent 2years in audit, but don't know where to start within the private space because I have no experience. Would I be wrong to start in a lower role although I have my certification? I know this is selling myself short, but I am not sure how well I can perform in private since I have no experience (not even quick books). How do I go about finding people to shadow or learn from?

Why I love being in industry:

I presented a deck and I misspelled "EBITDA" in the exec summary while presenting to the exec team.

No one noticed. No one called me out. No one gave me a nasty glance. No one sent a "pls call my mobile" text after.

No email with some stuff about "not meeting expectations" or "how could you let this happen in your role".

After the wave of panic, I remembered that I'm in industry now. I make more money, work less hours, work with great people, I'm happy.

What do the requirements for equity partner look like at your firm? How is origination handled (ie once you bring in a client every new matter is your origination whether they called you or someone else at the firm, whether you do the work, and even whether for insurance clients the adjuster assigning to a colleague doesn’t know who you are)? My firm has one female equity partner- who doesn’t have a family. How can I work to change the mold for others to get there?

Thoughts on moving into more of a PMM role? I currently have 10 YOE of acquisition based marketing in financial products. Honestly I don’t think agencies are going to exist the way they do 15-20 years from now. The way they operate is designed for burn out for employees. I’ve worked at a total of 5 agencies across Chicago and NYC, and things end up always being toxic and the work life balance is just not sustainable nor justifiable when I look back. I mean look across this app and see what people post in regards to advertising, we deserve better.

I've transferred my PF from Wipro to Cognizant where in it the Employee's PF shows around 83k but the Employer's PF shows only around 27k.

If the employee and employer have to contribute 12% then both should be equal to 83k isn't it?
