Hi fishes 🐟

Can someone shed insight on what is a good salary range for an EA (me) who supports CEO, COO, Legal Counsel (1 person) and HR Director. And also serve as office manager - handle all the logistics of managing inventory for office supplies, kitchen ( coffee, etc) as well as any issues that may come up- a/c issues, issues with cleaning staff, building issues etc. also handle travel bookings for all the company- this alone is a FT job. The travel got added 3 months after I started. TY.

What’s the size of the company? Office size? Have you been getting performance reviews/raises? How long have you been with them? Lol I got questionsssss before I’ll throw out a number

And location. Geography matters.

Thanks.

How many other staff people are there? Or are you it?

That’s what I figured. And I’d bet you’re in a suburb, not a major city. Your office is not going to pay you any more. I’d guess they’re probably paying you about 60. They’re not gonna pay what all those various jobs you are doing would earn. When you leave, they’ll probably hire 2-3 young people and pay them 30 k each.

I’ve never heard of an ea anywhere making 200k. Lord. If that’s a thing then sign me up. I’ve got over 25 years exp too.

Maybe if you were able to craft your resume based on job duties, and how long you’ve done them, it would be more in line with an office manager job. But still, your experience lies in a small office setting, so an office manager type job that you’d be suited for still isn’t going to be 200k.

like

How many years of experience do you have?

New York

$200k++

If you’re in a HCOL city and then 130-175k base depending on the company, if it’s MCOL city then 90-115k base, and if you’re way out in the suburbs…. 70-90k. Hopefully you get OT and bonus or equity!

Here in Canada, I don’t know any EA making 6 figures….ever! May it be 20 years EA assisting c-suite personnel, very seldom to get a high salary. I have to venture out of admin profession in order to reach 6 figures.

Hi! With how many years of experience? And where are you based?

A friend was told their firm will cut ties EOY if certain things don’t improve. Friend had planned to quit in the next year anyway (to start their own business), so there is no real incentive to bend over backwards. Friend’s goal is to keep the income for a little longer, but to minimize conflict / headaches. What’s the best move here? Wait until EOY and take the severance? Give 6 / 9 / 12 months’ notice now? Is there such a thing as too much notice? Could too much notice backfire?

However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.
Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)
Any thoughts?

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?
