New mom here experiencing some burn out that is affecting my home life. I work for a fun brand and love the work I do, but I’m feeling overworked and under appreciated lately. We also just moved our office into the city and, although I only need to go in 2x a week, I can already tell the 1+ hour commute will get old. I’m considering jumping ship and going for a safer, boring job for better work-life balance, but am scared I will miss the fast-paced environment. Anyone go through this?

Anyone leave public accounting for a more fraud accounting or forensics related role? Would love to hear your thoughts

I come from a target school in India (say MBB / T2 hires from my college every year) with ~1 YOE in consulting - based in Dubai. Hi! I have an offer internally within my current org for a level above my current paygrade and they are pushing me to sign the offer. I’m actually waiting to hear back from FAANG(might take 2 weeks from here on). I’m really confused on how I could keep my current internal offer in the loop while I wait for my faang interview results? I’ve been getting invaluable experience at a boutique litigation firm. The only things is, the firm hasn’t evolved with work culture. The official policy is that everyone WFH one day each week with no choice of which day. Sometimes I’ll work from home more than one day a week and when I do, I feel paranoid because when I’m in the office, the partners will “walk the halls.” I would appreciate more flexibility and have a big law interview scheduled. Is this worth leaving? Btw, I’m a first year.

I’m a campus hire- on day 24 at Deloitte. Should I be concerned I’m not staffed? I have nothing to do but certification and learning. It’s getting a bit old. And my RM doesn’t respond to my chats or meetings.

- What is the general variable payout %. Last year was exceptional, want ro know the general trend.
