Hello! I’m a financial advisor and a CFP. Running a good practice but looking for a side gig while my commissions ramp up. Any tips/gig that have worked for you? Ideally WFH, flexible hours.
I have a double bachelors in economics and environmental science, am a good writer, and good at accounting.
Any and all suggestions appreciated!

So guys what is the hybrid working scenario currently in TCS? Are you being forced to come to office for 3 days or are you doing wfh?

What would you do? 34 years old. Offered partnership in hometown local firm 7+ years in the making that offers opportunity to earn 150-200k+ per year + benefits. Also just received unsolicited offer to be in house at young small company that will start at 200k and offer equity totaling payouts of low 7 figures over next five years but requires me to be away four nights/wk 2 hrs from home. May be able to work remote 2 days eventually. Life span of company is 5ish years. Married w/ 3 kids under 5

Probably a popular opinion, maybe not to some but I think companies should be planning on how they can keep their workforce WFH post COVID for the well being of everyone in many aspects versus herding people back to the office like cattle once they find a loophole in legal liability. Quality of life has improved so much not having to spend 2+ hours in traffic. It’s the future of working, I don’t see the issue with giving the freedom now to those who have proven they can do it.

I manage a team of designers who are full time remote. My boss hired one as a full time remote designer, which is at least 35 logged hours per week. She’s been with us since November and she’s consistently only logged about 70% of the 35h of her required hours each week. She sucks up to me and my boss anytime she gets the chance, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because she knows what she’s doin. The other designers work their asses off and her performance is lackluster. What should I do?

I’m moving to Houston in a month and my job is not necessarily remote. I took this job to get my foot in the door working in Radio & Television but I have to be honest I don’t care for the desk job anymore. I enjoy being apart of a production team, or hosting a show, editing audio and video. I want to finally have a job that I truly love doing everyday. Anyone whom may know of a FT entry level position in Radio or Television in the Houston area I would greatly appreciate any help!

I need help figuring out what I’m worth in a world that really hasn’t ever been clear in that regard. I’ve worked a lot of “here is the pay for that position, take it or leave it” jobs in my lifetime. Now I’m in a space where I’m well aware I’ve been grievously underpaid, I’m leaving this position and in discussions with potential new spaces, and I have zero clue how to respond to the salary question. I will be part time and remote due to some additional obligations. Thoughts on where to start??

Has anyone been able to find a remote public policy job? I've applied so many places and interviewed a few times but I just keep getting turned down, it's very discouraging! I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I feel like I present well, but I don't have a lot of people to talk to or get feedback from!

I’m pretty knowledgeable on insurance and have a good understanding of how things work. I get paid about $21/hr and it’s just not enough money. I making ends meet working 80 hours a week. Im currently going to school full time and would like some input on what I should do.
