Looking for anyone who has had experience dealing with fellow officers who tend to not play situations by the book. I can understand some slight rule-bending but I don’t want to get caught in the middle of something distasteful.

Hey all, what do you usually talk/share in your 1:1 meeting with your supervisor? I think I should take this opportunity to get feedback from him or share some goals and vision, other than that I feel nervous and don't know what to talk about. In addition, sometimes I'm afraid to be judged by him if I have nothing to say. Any advice? Thanks. :)

I feel like I’ve lost my credibility at work. I had a really rough week - got pulled into way too may things and dropped the ball on a few things.

How do you set boundaries if you’re salaried with no OT?! I told my boss that I’d only be online from 8-6p and he finds that he isn’t getting enough support. I lowkey feel like telling him he needs two EAs but I guess you can tell how cheap he is because no OT. Any advice? (Ps, I’m aggressively job hunting because this ain’t it)

Been on a project for 2 weeks and thinking it’s not for me. The manager is kind of rude when I ask for help/direction, but he always says to ask if things are uncertain. He always has this condescending attitude and just keeps telling me that he expects more of someone at my level, C. I just keep feeling anxious that I’m not meeting expectations and feel reluctant to ask for help. Anyone in the same boat?

Do you feel completely incompetent when talking to some SM’s? My SM just knows soooo much about everything. I know she has been doing it for 11 years but I just feel so dumb every time I talk to her.

Questions for my fellow EAs out there:
1. How many of you travel for your job? If so, are there stipulations?
2. My team is having an 2-day offsite meeting in another city and many folks outside of our team are all traveling in for it. Some are only attending for an hour. My exec told me yesterday I couldn’t attend (after weeks of asking him), citing that we couldn’t have excessive hours of OT (maybe 4 hrs). I do not feel valued as a team member.
Should I bring it up or let it go?

Leaving the firm soon and just woke up with a fantasy of telling off the client for being a bad steward of their responsibility to serve the public. Someone talk me off the edge.

I’ve previously run with Johnston and Murphy shirts but need to add more shirts to my wardrobe for work, and for general DC social activities.

How do you get a client to move away from wanting meetings only after 5pm? I’ve had a few meetings with them after work hours and I think they now expect that I’m always free after 5 to talk when they want. I think I’m within my rights to not have meetings after work hours (of course with exceptions when urgent), but these are often just discussions that could happen via email.

I was floored by this (ignoring that maybe looters were interested in resale value, perhaps). Such clear racism. None of the other partners even attempted to call this partner out. Call went silent for moment before another partner changed subject. Nobody in practice group AA.

My coworker brought a puppy to work, who bit my hand. I ended up losing my temper and yelling at them. Now everyone is mad at me for blowing up at work, even though this is something I shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place!

So I think I definitely have a crush on a manager in my group. We don’t work together but we’re good friends at work. Hes newly single out of a serious relationship so I’m hesitant about that.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

Compared to other models, how does PDM typically fare during layoffs? What service/industry would you say has been the safest?

I got an offer from Deloitte India for consultant role.
I am having 2 YOE in SAP MDG. They are offering me 10.35 lpa CTC [9 LPA FIXED].
Is it fine or should I negotiate more?
Also I have offer from Accenture with 8 lpa fixed + 21% variable and 60k joining bonus.
Which is better to join Deloitte india or Accenture?

War or no war is quite often a sensitivity, and adoption of EVs/renewables/biofuels will be between X and 10X. I recently asked my boss for a raise after discussing a yearly review with them. I was told because there was a company wide raise back in December, that would technically be my raise, which was $0.45/hr. I’ve stepped in to a number of roles here and feel I am not being paid adequately after taking on the extra work. I’m wondering how to go about asking for a raise of $2/hr after all this.
